About

1 – What kind of being are you ?

A Front-end Developer. That is, an internet designer focused in the user-side experience. Architecture, Graphism, displaying content to the final user in an ideal way, and doing it with web standards in mind.

2 – So you craft websites, but, do you design them yourself before writing the code ?

I design them myself, but for sure I can code as well designs that I receive by other people, done by pure designers. In both cases, I use tools like Photoshop, a cup of tea, Brian Eno as a soundtrack, and a bunch of inspiration and friends (forums, social nets…) out there to get the work done in hours.

3 – And, do you use some Content Management System to build the sites on ?

Yes, I use WordPress. WordPress is a CMS which allows to any person to run, edit and mantain a website, and use a huge spectrum of plugins to get any feature needed : e-commerces, contact forms, video players …

4 – Which are your programming skills ?

I work essentially with PHP, CSS and HTML. I can say I’m a CSS guy, armed with Photoshop and a futuristic vision. My knowledge in PHP have been developed thanks to WordPress, and I hope to go deeper and deeper in it, until I harmonise with that dark side of the moon that for every designer is the pure programming.

Beyond the specific markup and graphic languages, I’m a ninja in javascript libraries like jQuery. Just ask me for an effect, and I’ll bring it to you.

5 – Can you work with Flash, After Effects, and other motion graphics software ?

Yes, but in a basic level.

6 – So finally you are saying that you are a front-end developer, focused in serving web content dynamically, and using a CMS like WordPress ?

This is the kind of question you put yourself in an sketchy presentation, but, anyway, yes, I am that guy.

7 – Can you give me an orientation about the price of your services ?

Sure. For small websites (static pages, custom design), I charge about 500$. Then, for a medium or large projects, I work for an hourly fee, depending on the nature of the work to do.

8 – And, where did you study, which is your training ?

I come from the graphic field, and I studied in the Massana School in Barcelona. I learned the programming languages later, as a hobby first, as a job finally.

9 – Where would you like to arrive ?

I would like to work for a strong agency, and being able to live anywhere in the Planet : I’m a nomad.

10 – Which would be your favourite projects ?

Journalism-related.

Here are some of my favourite websites:
